Although folks like John and Caitlin Matthews, Tom Cowan and Frank MacEowen are not approved sources by ADF, I believe that they have value as experiential teachers. I will share my work here with Core and Celtic Shamanism, as a personal growth item. At best, I will deepen my ties to the Otherworld, and at worst, the work won’t call to me, but I will have given it honest consideration instead of taking the word of others. In order to facilitate this and deepen my foundation, I’ve chosen to work with an online course with a mentor – Shamanism 101.com. I’m taking ‘Learning to Journey’, their foundational course.

By |October 2nd, 2015|

Cowan’s Chapter 2 on Power Animals

By |July 31st, 2015|

This unit’s required reading was chapter 2, and although I love Tom Cowan, he couches something in the same terms as other folks that really gets under my skin. He says, ‘…a brief period when humans and animals share the same language.’

This is WHY this gets under my skin: humans ARE animals. We’ve just FORGOTTEN […]
